WHAT IS INCLUDED...
My time, mostly! No two experiences will be the same. We'll have had a chat about what you want to achieve and I will tailor the day to help you get the best out of yourself and your equipment.
I'll help/advise you with camera set-up, positioning, making the most of the light available and techniques relevant to your goals. We'll follow a pre-arranged route where you'll have the freedom to choose when you want to take a shot, but I will also make suggestions.
We'll work together throughout the day because I want you to make the most of the time that you've chosen.
AND WHAT ISN'T...
Although I am fully insured, insurance to cover your equipment is not included.
It's entirely up to you at the end of the day, you may not think you need it. I'm just obliged to make you aware that it isn't covered by mine.
WHAT TO BRING
Equipment: Depends on what you have and what you want to achieve. We will talk about that after booking, but as a rough guide:
-
If you have a compact/bridge camera, you won't need anything else unless you have a tripod or filters.
-
For DSLR users, I suggest bringing whatever you're happy to carry.
-
Tripods are useful but not necessarily essential on the Introduction to Photography Workshop. For all LONG EXPOSURE workshops, a Tripod is essential. If you have filters that you want to use that's fine, but you won't need any lighting equipment as we will be working with natural light only.
-
If you have a rain sleeve, bring it...and if you don't, I'd recommend buying one. They can be very useful in England!
Clothing:
Obviously we can't guarantee the weather, so come prepared for sun, rain and wind. You will need decent footwear either way. Boots with good sole grips are ideal as the terrain can be uneven and I know nobody wants to slip when holding a camera!
Food and drink:
We'll stop for a picnic lunch, so bring food that you can carry. It's much better for you to bring your own as there's no disappointment or issues with dietary requirements! Walking can be thirsty work, especially if you're not used to it, so plenty to drink is a really good idea.
